What a great weekend at the 2024 NSW Country Championships.
It consisted of many amazing results, but most importantly incredible Team Cudgen comraderie as the nippers hit the surf and sand at Warrilla-Barrack Point SLSC.
The Kids not only had fun together, but we also saw the cross-club friendships and the willingness of the kids, across all age groups, to step out of their comfort zone and race to support their teammates.
We couldn’t be prouder of our juniors who all pitched in to help us get points in as many ways they could, helping their team by making up numbers so others could compete or moving up age groups to help others.
From a results point of view, we took away 55 medals – 24 Gold, 16 silver and 15 bronze. With winning the big All Age double for the Board and Beach relays, the kids lifted not only for themselves but the club. There are so many other team and individual results, demonstrating that the training and commitment has paid off.
Please see the medal tally attached.
We are proud to say that we the Nippers and Seniors alike fought hard to the end and the result was Warilla-Barrack Point SLSC – 1,396 followed closely by Cudgen on 1,244 points.
As always, we can never have these carnivals without our support team – thank you to Team Manager Adam Mills, Coach George, Adam Poole for driving down the Nippers trailer, our officials, Water Safety parents, IRB drivers & crew and our age managers. Lastly, to our parents & support crew, thank you for supporting your kids and making the effort to bring them down to the event. You should all be very proud of these kiddos!
